Where

The retreat will be held in a small surf town north of Luzon called Baler, Aurora. It is a 5-6 hour drive from the capital city Manila.

Baler is dubbed as the birthplace of Philippine surfing. The town doesn’t just offer rich surf culture but is known for its majestic views of Sierra Madre, Big Waterfalls and great food!

The Practice space

offers secluded accommodations at the foot of a hill and across the street from a premiere surf break. Surrounded by both the tranquility of nature and the allure of the Pacific Ocean. It is a beautiful yoga deck facing the mountains and a communal space to relax and more.

The Surf scape

The retreat is catered to different levels of
surfers. Whether you are beginner,
intermediate, or advanced, there will be waves for you. There are two main breaks in this area. There is a beach break that caters to all levels of surfers and there is a hollow reef break that is suitable for intermediate to advanced surfers.

The reef break is a walking distance from the location. The beach break will be a short drive to the main town.

An option to bring your own board or rent a board in the area.

FAQ

Q: What if I don’t surf?

If you want to learn to surf, we work with local surf instructors to help guide you on catching your first wave! If you prefer not to surf, we will have alternative activities for you to choose from.

Q: Is it safe to travel in the Philippines?

It is safe to travel to Philippines especially that we will work closely with the local people. Paula is born and raised in the Philippines and has spent a lot of time in Baler where she considers it as her second home.

Q: How do I get to the destination?

Baler, Aurora is a 5-6 hour car drive from Manila (where the airport is). We will have an option if you want us to pick you up from the airport to take you to the destination or if you prefer to go there via charter bus, Joy Bus will be the best option. It is a safe and comfortable ride that takes you straight to Baler. Then you will have to be picked up in the Bus Terminal. Everything will be arranged and discussed after booking.

Q: What travel documents do I need?

You don’t need a travel visa to visit the Philippines. You just need a valid passport that does not expire for at least 6 months from the date of departure.

Q: How do I secure my payment for the retreat or book?

Due to the nature of this small batch retreat, it’s best to directly message Paula or Archie.

Payments can be made through Zelle & Venmo. DEADLINE FOR PAYMENTS IS DEC 2023.
